Wonderful page, dear. Great interviews, mind if I steal them for my own page (with source listed, of course)?

Here is a story to those who don't mind. In 1991, I came over to my godsister Julia's house for a slumber party. We were watching television, and suddenly she started crying. A video with some guy was showing, or maybe those were short excerpts from many videos. I asked her what's going on, and she replied "Freddie died. Oh my God, Freddie is dead!" And all the while the guy was flashing on the screen, singing and dancing, and it was hard to imagine that such a flamboyant person could ever die.
I didn't know then who Freddie was, or why Julia was so sad about his passing. Only much later her tears started making sense. And when I understood, I felt like crying too. To think that we were puzzled by his words "My love is dangerous"...
He wanted an early death; living to old age would have been, to quote him, "boring". And Freddie strongly disliked being bored. There is a saying that helps me cope: "Here is a test to find out if your mission on Earth is finished: if you are alive, it isn't." I tell myself that it simply was his time to move on. But i still choke back sobs whenever I hear him singing "The Show Must Go On."

Who knows where Freddie is now. Maybe he is up in heavens. Then he probably enlisted himself as a choir-angel - on starry nights, listen and you will hear him sing -, and organized himself a nice roomy cloud, with roses, daffodils and cats galore. And someone to share it all with. Maybe he got reincarnated, in which case we might hear about an incredibly talented kid with strange taste in clothing as soon as next decade. Or maybe Freddie is still here with us, consoling us quietly when we mourn him, surfing through webpages built in his honor, and reading all the signatures his fans left on that wall in London. Not to mention occasionally visiting his old band pals... and maybe making them drop things on their lap, preferably hot and liquid. For old times' sake. :-)
Why do i know so surely that Freddie is still around? Because the alternative is unthinkable.

We love you Freddie. Always.

Great page, you did a really good job.
Yeah, Freddie and Queen meant everything to us.
I always felt that Freddie is more than just a singer he is also a Friend of mine.
Cos Queen songs always guided me when I had problems.
Queen music teaches us to love everyone and to stop wars and stuff like that.

Bonsoir a tous (Hello all),

The preceding day of Freddie's death, I was listening the
Innuendo album...I believe it was a saturday night...
As I'm french, I had a little difficulty getting the very meaning of the Lyrics and went sent to sleep by the melody. My CD player was set on "Continous Loop" and I dozed maybe 3 or 4 hours with the music.
When I waked up, I was KNOWING it... 'the Hitman', 'I'm
going slightly mad', 'The show must go on'... Freddie told
us the truth since 'My love is dangerous' but we, his fans,
were too slow to understand... Freddie never lied... he was
just to shy to complain... This nigth, I prayed for him...

Next day, Freddie's death was announced at 8 pm news.
Pray for him... 'All God's people'...

I loved your page dedicated to Freddie. I have been a fan since 1975 when I was in 7th grade. I was fortunate to have seen Queen twice. The Jazz tour and The Game tour. Freddie wore my hat when I threw it up on stage at the beginning of "Another Bites The Dust" when he sings, "Steve walks wearily down the street with his brim pulled way down low." He then threw it into the audience, it was exciting. I am an attorney and before any litigation in front of a judge, I listen to side Black of Queen II to energize me. Great page, I enjoyed it and as Freddie sang at the end of the song, Let Me Entertain You, "that was out of sight man." Take Care.
